About the work

The space under a table can be a shelter within a shelter, a refuge that frames a new scene. This landscape painting is directly inspired from the Ikea catalogue page in which it appears but in the place of twisting toy train tracks, a winding blue river is fed from a spill above.

ALEXANDRA NOEL (b.1989) lives and works in Los Angeles.
